CD front, back and insert
Hey guys, we have finallyyy created our CD front, back cover and insert booklet and can I just say.. They look amazing!! I believe we have really fit the colours, photos and editing well within the genre of our music video of Breathe me.
We have decided to go for a dark colours on the front colours, using a photo of myself (the artist) and a 'edgy' title of her name and name of the album. When editing the front cover on Adobe Photoshop, I used a YouTube tutorial as I believe it would give me a great insight into how to make my album cover look as professional as possible. It taught me how to lighten the photo and make the font of the title fun and edgy. I believe the album cover is very simple yet effective for Savannah as an artist.
The back cover is shown to be quite like the one we made before for 'Cover boy pretty' this is because we believe it looked so effective for the task before and wanted to use it again just change some fonts and colours. We took some great photos of myself one time, whilst filming, we was looking through and found one which would look great on the back cover as it looks at the song names. This template was easy to create and still gives a professional look to it.
When it comes to the inserts, we didn't know whether to make a sheet for every song on the album, containing the lyrics and photos of Savannah. We decided against this idea due to the fact we wanted the fans to listen and feel the songs, not read them which would happen if we listed all the lyrics in the insert. I used a flowered background and blurred photos of myself to the front of it whilst typing some significant lyrics also on the cover which I believed looked really effective for the look of the album.
I have made an Animoto with the photos of the album cover below to make the photos more enjoyable to view.
Enjoy bloggers.

Breathe Me is finally released
AND ITS UP... Breathe Me is finally filmed, edited, produced and hitting the screens now.
The SaltSisters have worked so hard to get the music video finished so Savannah can take to the scenes.
The genre consists of alternative, pop and indie as it contains a great narrative and the editing is not like any other music video.
Savannah will now be taking over her personal social media accounts resulting in her fans getting closer to the artist and her music.
We will be updating you on further changes to tour dates, merchandise and upcoming singles, these can be found on Savannahs website which I will link below.

The end of Salt Sisters
This is a little ending bye from the production company of Salt Sisters. Throughout this media course, I created a great AS thriller and an even better A2 music video. My skills and qualities on programs such as Photoshop and PremierePro have incredibly changed. I have learnt skills that will stay with me for life.. and no, not just how to focus the lense on a DSLR so the shot doesn't go fuzzy and unfocused, except that was useful when we found out HAHA!
I have learnt how to turn into a popstar in the space of a few months, my confidence infront of the camera has increased and would now feel confident if someone asked me to take part in a media project again.
Now to talk about my AMAZING group... The Salt Sisters. I believe I put myself with two great media students, both presenting great skills within editing and producing the music video. We all worked well as a team and felt comfortable speaking out if we had a problem. Sav and Brooke was great partners to work with within these past two years of the media course.
Overall, I believe 'Breathe me' has gone down a success, I have achieved a great deal over these past two years and I hope to keep blogging in the future.
Talk soon guys !

Question 4- How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
This final question was VERY detailed, this is why I thought a Gliffy was the best way to get all the information down which I wanted to and not miss any little technical issue down.

Question 3- what have you learnt form your audience feedback?
This Slideshare gives you a slight insight into what feedback I received back from Breathe me and I have even took some sneaky photos of individuals when they was watching my video to get the real expression which they had when first watching our production.

Question 2- How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary task?
I have created a Prezi for question 2, I believe it is a fun and exciting way of presenting my exultation of my final production of Breathe me. Enjoy guys !!

Question 1- In what ways does your media prodcut use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Me and the other Salt Sisters- Sav and Brooke believed this question would be best if presented it as a vlog so we could get all the information to you and not miss out any valuable facts out that either one of us may have. Enjoy guys... P.S ignore the faces I pull when I'm not concentrating!!

Evaluation posts of Breathe me
Hey guys
due to us finishing our music video 'Breathe me' as well as the website, album covers and other ancillary tasks I will now be evaluating the different aspects of these. I will explaining how well they went, the audience feedback and what aspects we could have improved to achieve the highest grade we needed.
There will be four questions where I have used different methods to present them such as a vlog, a Prezi and a Slideshare document. They will be well detailed and will hopefully explain to you how I have made some of my products and what inspirations have been included for the making of Breathe me.
Hope you enjoy reading/watching, thanks guys !

Textual analysis on two A2 music videos from another school
Hiya guys, throughout the planning and organising stage of Breathe me, I wanted to gain as many ideas for the location, editing and mise en scene as possible. My A2 media teacher added some great examples of music videos created by A2 students from other schools. I decided to do a textual analysis on two contrasting yet FANTASTIC music videos which may have helped us throughout our editing stage on Breathe me.
Enjoy guys !!

Practise CD cover
Hey guys, we have started to create our CD front cover.. Exciting!!
I wanted to create something which would catch the eyes of the public, something with a bit of edge and will definitely sell in the music stores. As this my first time producing something so creative, I needed a little help from a professional. This is where I took to YouTube. I found this video which was a great help when using Photoshop, he explained the basics of creating the front cover and then provided me with extras resulting in the CD cover being that extra special.
I used one of the photos which we previously took whilst filming where Savannah is looking down from the camera. I used different effects to make Sav's name bold and even flipped the V round to give it a little edge. The video taught me how to brighten and darken the photo and make different parts contrast.
We will be creating various CD front covers resulting in us being able to choose one which we like the most. However, this video was a great help.
Speak soon.

SaltSisters taking over social media
First it was Twitter, now the SaltSisters are now on Instagram featuring up dates, photos and even sneak peaks of the up coming music video. Both accounts are held by the company as we felt we need to get Sav (the artist) out to the world first before she holds her own social media accounts. However, no need to worry as when the music video is released, the rest is down to Sav.
We still need to create a Facebook page as this will publicise Sav more and will get her music out to the world. We will be tweeting and posting photos more on our accounts now we have started filming.
Media has become such a popular news industry, allowing small artists to get their music out to the world. Sav will be producing her music through our company and we are happy to announce her name through us and we are hopeful she will make it into the charts with no doubts.
No pressure, but if you want to keep up to date with the release date of our music video, give us a follow on all accounts and we will announce on Twitter when we have created the Facebook account.

Risk assesment
Hey guys,
The girls and I have filled out the risk assessment for our music video which covers small to LARGE scale issues that may occur. The risks that we have discussed are known to be hazard for the individuals who are taking part within any role within the producing of our music video.
The front of the risk assessment shows the risks in a check list format, this is where we discussed as a team whether the hazard they are presenting to us will be a high risk within our video. We had to consider the different locations we are filming in, the outside shots will have more complications than the ones inside. For instance, one of the hazards is the noise aspect; we will find the outside shots will show this occurrence more than the inside shots. As we are wanting to drop a glass filled with red wine on the fall in the aim for a slow motion shot, this will be a hazard for my group wherever it may be shot.

The back of the sheet shows the main three hazards which will be very likely on happening if we aren't careful when producing our music video.
I have completed this risk assessment so the group and I are safe at all costs when filming our media project.

Practise green screen task
Hey guys,
just a quick update on the research and planning of our music video. We have been practising different tasks that will be included within our video which we think will really benefit us in future filming.
We decided to practise the green screen, editing of slow motion and changing the background to different pictures and effects. We used a fan to make my hair blow from all angles as we edited the video on Premiere Pro. After adding the video onto YouTube, I then added a background song to make the video more fun for the audience.
I'll keep you updated on more tasks to come.
